How to Use
☰ Tabs & Filters
- Open the panel from the menu button in the upper right corner
- Start by selecting a Year/Season
- Then select an Individual to display their migration route on the map.
- Multiple individuals can be selected at once. To view detailed information on each individual, tap the (i) icon.
- For some individuals, multiple Years/Seasons can be displayed at the same time.
- On mobile, tap the × button to temporarily hide the panel.
▶️ Playback
- Once you have selected individuals using the tabs/filters, press ▶ to automatically play back their movements in chronological order.
- Drag the slider to jump to a specific date.
- Press ⏸ to pause at any time.
🗺️ Map Controls
- Drag to pan the map.
- Scroll or pinch to zoom in and out.
- The +/− buttons in the bottom left can also be used to zoom.
🔍 Migration Route Display
- When zoomed in, migration routes are displayed as a 5 km mesh based on Ministry of the Environment data.
